A Lua’s new unit at Sangolda, ‘Yaki Zushi, is stirring up quite a sensation in oriental cuisine serving Japanese, Chinese, Thai for foodies willing to experiment.
Beef Teppanyaki Although the summer heat was barbaric that afternoon, walking into ‘Yaki Zushi’, we felt an instant wave of relief. While the exterior is bright red in the form of a Japanese structured monument, the interior is equally soothing to the soul. Soft instrumental music welcomed us as we toured the segmented sections decorated with paper wall hangings and origami paper artefacts and finally settled down in the vast and gorgeous ‘Bamboo room’.
Browsing through the menu, we decided that a soup would do us some good, for a change. The first one on the list that caught our fancy was ‘Miso’, a traditional Japanese soup prepared from stock called ‘dashi’ and is predominantly served at restaurants that follow an authentic Japanese theme (Google comes in handy even while debating over a menu). Decision made, we ordered for a mix of chicken and prawns.
Chicken Dim Sum We were contemplating upon what to order next when the dim sum caught our eye. Irrespective of whether you have tried it earlier or not, saying no to devouring dim sum at any given point of time is like saying no to candy! “One chicken dim sum please” we heard ourselves order, when the chef cum owner Amory D’Souza walked towards or table.
